ABOUT THE FACULTY
Faculty of secretaries and administrators is an internationally recognized professional body that specializes in secretariship. It is the second largest body worldwide in the business of training and developing professionally qualified secretaries and administrators. Members of the Faculty are not mere decision executors but decision makers themselves in view of the rich theoretical and practical trainings are obliged to undertake in order to qualify for the Faculty’s membership Certificate.
MISSION
The FSAN delivers its mission through a portfolio of interdisciplinary projects, which take in the full sweep of expertise and innovation in a host of fields - from art to industry, from education to entrepreneurship, from environment to design. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE FACULTY
- To provide an organization for men and women of sound mind and intellect who desire to qualify as chartered Secretary or Administrator, Marketer, Computer Analysis, Shipping and Accountant.
- To develop and promote the science of secretariship and administration, and research into the best means of applying such science in the highest levels of ethical practice
- To raise management and professional acumen through a system of examinations and issuance of certificates of proficiency.
- To increase public awareness in secretariship and administration.
- To maintain discipline within the profession, regulate and control the practice of the profession in all its ramifications.
STANDARDS OF THE FACULTY
The Faculty maintains an uncompromising standard for all its levels of examinations. The examinations comprise of twenty-six subjects each of which takes three hours. It is the broadest examinations for any secretariat and administration body in Nigeria and Abroad. The Faculty is the second professional body in Sec and Admin in the world to include Management Auditing in its syllabus.
