PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION

Many well structured professional learned organizations offer their own professional development education to members for the purpose of continual career related advancement and to ensure its members are technologically informed and equipped with the latest methods, advancements and techniques in their profession. The purpose of professional development education is also to allow members to advance their academic standing to obtain the required intellectual, academic and technological knowledge trough the completion of dedicated programs and coursework, which is equivalent to knowledge usually studied at an institution of higher learning.

The list below is a general list detailing our professional development education programs. The Advanced diploma programs is equivalent to a four year bachelor’s degree and is intended to provide the education for our global membership meeting the requirements for corporate membership within the Society. Our programs are comprehensive, complex and also include much high level intellectually based knowledge areas. Where applicable, Intec College graduates may be granted exemption for appropriate and relevant coursework. All DTMSI coursework integrates into articulation related programs with accredited universities cooperating with the Society, for those who wish to convert their Society completed coursework into a university degree. The same applies to our postgraduate diploma professional development programs.

The Design, Technology and Management Society International Professional Development Education meets the minimum standards and requirements by law in the USA applicable to professional education providers. Our staff's qualifications have been evaluated by California University FCE as having met the requirements of the U.S. Law on Continuing Education of Licensed Professionals. DTMSI graduates may apply to California University FCE for the evaluation of their DTMSI Professional Development Education based on the rules and regulations applicable to Continuing Education Providers as meeting the equivalent academic standards comparable to accredited university degree level coursework.
