Academic Institutions
The Society recognizes all governmental and miniseries of education worldwide.
This applies to all countries, worldwide and it is not necessary for these
academic institutions to apply for recognition or acceptance of their
academic programs. This also applies to candidates who seek to be admitted
as members within the Society.
In the United States, the Society recognizes all the degrees awarded by
academic institutions accredited by the regional accreditation organizations.
This does not mean that the Society does not recognize degrees awarded
by private or non-government academic institutions. The Society recognizes
the individual and therefore does not discriminate against any individual
or awarding institution anywhere in the world. However, we will NOT RECOGNIZE
any degree(s) awarded by institutions that are referred to as “diploma
mills” or institutions that are under dispute due to unacceptable
practices.
The Society reserves the right to investigate or request any additional
information about awarding institutions that seem suspect.
Any institution who wishes to have its degree programs accredited by the
Society must apply to the Secretary in writing in the prescribed manner.
Accredited degree programs are listed with full reference as to the extent
and this guarantees that the individual who seek to be admitted to membership
will be accepted at the minimum grade stated with any additional privileges
applicable.
The Society issues a certificate and letter of accreditation to the awarding
institution for the approved degree programs according to the usual conditions
for accreditation, which must be observed.
Accreditation is annually renewable at a reasonable fee payable to the
Society. Institutions who fail to meet the requirements and who do not
communicate any changes or neglect to settle the annual fees will be removed
from the register.
2. Professional
Educational Institutions
The Society
will honor in the same spirit as above applications from individuals whom
have been successful in examinations for courses leading to Corporate
Membership of these institutions. As long as the completed courses and
examination meets the same standard for membership and certification required
by the Society, applicants are welcome to apply for membership and certification.
3. DTMS International - Membership and Certification
3.1
Guilds and Interest Sub-divisions
Where applicable,
graduates are also eligible for admission to guilds or sub-divisions within
either the Technological or Managerial Chapter. Applicants for Bachelor's
Degree, Master's or Doctorate Degree are also invited to consider admission
to one of the following divisions:
- Technological-Scientific-Engineering Graduates
- International Institute of Engineers
- International Institute of Scientists
Lecturers,
professors and senior academic staff members are invited to consider admission
to the International Guild of Academicians.
Graduates
with a managerial background with at least a Master's or Doctorate are
invited to consider admission to the MBA and Professional Managers Guild.
All
graduates are invited to apply for certification most appropriate to their
disciplines provided they have the required experience and education for
the field of registration related to their professions.
